Sunday Sept 24/06

Here are a few pictures I took this afternoon of the area. The trees are just beginning to change in color. It is a grey day, so the colors are not as vivid as I would like.

Florence and Sterling were by for supper last evening and this is what old folks do after supper for entertainment. Eveyone was worn out. They had cut and brought a few loads of firewood to the house that afternoon.

This evening, I am going to take atrip to Ann's cottage to clean out her fridge. I thought her neighbour would have done it when she went into the hospital, but I just found out that she has been away, and Ann would not ask for help. Could be scary things in that fridge by now!!! Wish me luck.

September 19th

SEPTEMBER 19,2006

It is a beautiful 27 degrees here in New Brunswick. All the windows are open and there is a lovely breeze.
We were in Fredericton on Sept 9th for Dad's 78th birthday. Here is a familiar picture of him and Mum in their usual spots. We had a nice supper and Paul even joined us. Never refuse a home cooked meal when at university.

Here is a picture taken last week of Ann and her daughter Carrie-Lea after Ann got out of the hospital. she was in for another 2 weeks and I still don't think they know what her problem is.

Also this month we had a visit from Frank and
Corrine. We went out to supper with them at Mikes' Resaurant. In this picture they are looking at Sarah's blog.
They presented us with a "lovely" calendar made by the fishermen of Yarmouth to raise money for a cancer center.

Remember the movie "Calendar Girls"? It is along the same lines. Quite funny, actually.

Here I am in Paul's former room. We moved the loveseat in here and Mike and I each have our own computer desk. I would like to have a hide-a-bed here for company.

Duke says " I miss you".
