Thursday Morning

This will be my last full day in Calgary, so I thought I'd better get a picture of Nana and the girls. Yesterday we went to Sears and got a baby swing for Isabelle.
Evening is Movie Time and this is the scene in the living-room each night. Today we hope to do some downtown touring and possibly a trip to Spruce Meadows.

Saturday

Today we went off to the Farmers' Market. As you can see, the weather was warm enough to go jacket-free. Take note of this wine...Weingut Joh.Haart Piesporter Goldtropfchen Reisling. Sarah says it is the best she has ever tasted, and " worth getting drunk on" it was so tasty. Good thing she had to share it with us!
After supper, we made Johnnie endure the movie "Selena".....retribution for making us watch all the "Rocky" movies he could find.

Saturday morning #2

I tried to get a picture of me with the girls, but for once, Helena did not want to have her picture taken. We will try again later....and have the toys picked up for the shoot! Helena likes to empty the toy box on a routine basis, and not put anything back. Can't imagine Sarah ever doing that! All we are missing are those memorable square wooden blocks that we always managed to step on that seemed to be everywhere.

Saturday morning

Helena wanted to hold Isabelle for a few minutes. Her favorite position is scrunched on anyone's chest. She would stay there all day if you let her. Johnnie is enjoying a few minutes of snuggling while watching Helena play.

Friday March 10/07

Here are a couple of pictures of the happy family. Helena likes to get her picture taken with her new sister.

Monday and Tuesday

A couple of pictures of Isabelle after her bath this morning and one of Sarah, Naomi and Isabelle at a women's get-together at Naomi's church last evening, where we got a lesson in interior design.

In the Mountains

I arrived in Calgary on Wednesday, and we went to Banff and Lake Louise on Saturday. Here we are at the Fairmount Hotel in Lake Louise, by the rink on the lake. More pictures to follow, no that I have figured out how update this new blog.

Visiting the Kids

I arrived in Calgary Wednesday afternoon adn was met at the airport by Johnnie and Helena. She was a liitle shy, but after a few hours I was having a great time with Helena and Isabelle. Helena has decided that I am
" Nana". She was very gracious to let me sleep in her new bed. Isabelle is very pretty, and a model baby. She gets up for about an hour in the evening, and otherwise sleeps constantly.
Helena has introduced me to her family of stuffed animals, and I find that she knows all the charachers of "Cars". Last night she surprised me by counting from 1 to 10 and reciting the complete alphabet! Quite the little chatterer too!
